Product information "OBX WG"
The OBX WG is an oval, hot-forged aluminum carabiner with an automatic twist-lock closure. It was designed for versatile rope applications and is particularly suitable for use in professional rope access, work at heights, and rescue operations. Its oval shape allows for optimal positioning of equipment with larger diameters—such as pulleys, ascenders, or fall arrest devices—and promotes smooth rope guidance.
The twist-lock mechanism locks automatically and enables quick and comfortable handling. The ergonomically curved back makes it easier to open the gate. Thanks to the Key-Lock system with a Catch-Free closure, ropes, lanyards, and devices can be easily attached and detached without getting caught on the carabiner nose.
Reinforced contact surfaces improve rope glide and increase wear resistance during regular use. With a breaking load of 24 kN on the longitudinal axis, a gate opening of 22 mm, and a weight of just 80 g, the OBX WG combines high load-bearing capacity with low weight and versatile applications.
