Product information "OBX SGL"
The OBX SGL is an oval locking carabiner made of hot-forged aluminum for professional applications in rope access, work at height, and rescue. Its oval shape facilitates the organized positioning of ropes, lanyards, and equipment. This makes it particularly suitable for users who work with pulleys, ascenders, fall arrest devices, or other system components.
The integrated ACL system ensures proper alignment of the carabiner with the harness’s safety loop. This keeps the connection between the harness, carabiner, and device more securely positioned, which facilitates handling during repetitive work sequences, technical maneuvers, and more complex rope setups. The screw-lock mechanism allows for reliable manual locking and is intuitive for professional users to operate.
Reinforced contact surfaces improve rope glide and reduce high-wear stress points during daily use. The jam-free Key-Lock closure facilitates clipping in and out of ropes, devices, and anchor points without annoying snagging. With a 22 mm gate opening, a 24 kN longitudinal breaking load, and certification to EN 362:2004/A/T and EN 12275:2013/T, the OBX SGL is a reliable connection solution for industrial climbers and professional rope applications.
