Product information "OBX SG"
The OBX SG is an oval locking carabiner made of hot-forged aluminum with a screw-lock mechanism. It is suitable for a wide range of climbing, rope, and work applications where equipment, ropes, or connecting elements must be precisely positioned and reliably guided.
Thanks to its oval shape, the carabiner promotes even alignment of ropes and equipment. Especially with devices that have a wider cross-section—such as pulleys, ascenders, or fall arrest devices—the shape ensures orderly positioning within the carabiner. The curved back and 22 mm gate opening facilitate clipping in and out and ensure comfortable handling during use.
Reinforced contact areas improve rope glide and increase resistance to wear. The Catch-Free closure reduces annoying snagging when clipping in and out of ropes, devices, or anchor points. With a breaking load of 24 kN longitudinally, 12 kN transversely, and 7 kN with the gate open, the OBX SG is a robust solution for professional applications. The carabiner is certified to EN 362:2004/B and EN 12275:2013/B.
